WHAT'S NEW PAGE

The title of this page should be and is self-explanatory, so that I will offer very brief commemts. My wife, Cynthia J. Bajdek, the AAFKWP's Founding Treasurer and Secretary, took this photo on Saturday, April 26, 2025 well before the site for the re-dedication ceremony was prepared.

Whereas in 1828 when the cornerstone of the original Latrobe-designed base and column was dedicated on July 4 that year, its entire cost of the project for the original Kosciuszko Monument had been paid for by the Cadets of the United State Military Academy.

The heroic-sized bronze statue of Kosciuszko was added in 1913, and was paid for by the Polish American clergy and laity of the United States.

In the tradition of the original column and base having been paid for by the Academy's Corps of Cadets, the current 21st century renovation project was financed by West Point's Association of Graduates of the United States Military Military Academy.
