THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF THE FRIENDS OF KOSCIUSZKO AT WEST POINT INVITES YOU TO PERUSE DETAILS OF ITS NOW-CANCELLED ANNUAL PROGRAM OF APRIL 24-25, 2020, FOR ITS CENTERPIECE 17TH ANNUAL TADEUSZ KOSCIUSZKO CONFERENCE AND 'KOSCIUSZKO DAY' COMMEMORATIONS RESPECTIVELY, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

The Coronavirus Pandemic had Forced the Cancellation of the 17th Annual Tadeusz Kosciuszko Conference that was to be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 in the Thayer Hotel, located at 674 Thayer Road, USMA, West Point, NY. As such, its:

18th Annual Tadeusz Kosciuszko Conference and 'Kosciuszko Day' commemorations will occur on April 23, 2021, recognizing as welll, the

18th Anniversary Year of the Founding of the American Association of the Friends of Kosciuszko at West Point

108th Anniversary Year of the Kosciuszko Statue that was added in 1913 to the Original Kosciuszko Monument of 1828

193rd Anniversary Year of the Dedication of the Kosciuszko Monument by the United States Military Academy 

193rd Anniversary Year of the United States Military Academy's 1st Annual National Tadeusz Kosciuszko Observance

204th Anniversary Year of the Death of Tadeusz Kosciuszko

275th Anniversary Year of the Birth of Tadeusz Kosciuszko 

 

18th Annual Kosciuszko Conference (Friday, April 23, 2021) will only be offered to AAFKWP members and friends remotely via ZOOM. Of necessity, the order of the panelists below may be modified.

All Aspects of the Kosciuszko Day Observance Scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2021 have been cancelled because of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic.

09:45 a.m. Annual Kosciuszko Memorial Mass in the Cadet Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity, USMA, West Point, NY

11:30 a.m. USMA Cadet Review on The Plain (i.e., parade ground)

12:30 p.m. Annual Kosciuszko Observance at the Kosciuszko Monument, USMA, West Point, NY

02:00 p.m. Annual Kosciuszko Day Memorial Luncheon, George Washington Room, Thayer Hotel, 674 Thayer Road, USMA, West Point, NY (By prepaid reservation only. See below). Host, AAFKWP President / Founder Anthony J. Bajdek, and speakers yet to be determined, along with a presentation by a Cadet member of the Kosciuszko Squadron of West Point.

NOTE: For children 5 and under, there is no luncheon charge. The luncheon charge for children 6 to 12 is $20. Finally, the post-Conference Friday night dinner is not included in the $50 Conference fee.

Luncheon and/or dinner and/or conference reservation payments must be received at the address below no later than April 16, 2020 is no longer applicable. NEITHER ARE THE FINANCIAL CHARGES FOR THE CONFERENCE, etc.

  • Without pre-payments and reservations, no admittance to the Conference, Dinner and Luncheon respectively will be permitted on the day of the event. As such, those wishing to join Association members for the Friday evening buffet dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the Thayer Hotel must also forward payment no later than April 19, 2019 as noted above.
